Marlina Brown was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Her passion and dream is to perform on Broadway.  Her passion for the stage began with competitive Gymnastic. She left the gym floor to begin her training at Suzanne Semans Dance Studio in Houston.

When she turned 10, Suzanne Semans (“Miss Suzie") asked a select group of dancers to join her in New York to begin Marlina’s training at the level of professional classes with some of the top dance instructors/choreographers in the country.  The trip was filled with private lessons, classes at Broadway Dance Center, Steps, and as many Broadway shows as could be seen. Additional summer work included intensives at the Broadway Theater Project, The Performing Arts Project and Artsbridge.

In high school, Marlina performed in many successful Broadway Shows.  Her performances included Anybodys in West Side Story, Lipschitz in Chicago, Erma in Anything Goes (Nominated for a Tommy Tune Award as Best Actress) and Cassie in A Chorus Line.

Upon graduation, Marlina decided to make the big move to New York City. She is continuing her passion with taking dance classes, voice and acting lessons, along with auditioning.

A highlight of 2017 was being asked by the O.K. Dance Company to perform in their Holiday dance video called Blue Skies. She participated with some of the top tap dancers in the country according to Broadway.com review.
